Imbued with Health Benefits
The Yarrow Infused Oil Recipe isn’t just a delightful addition to your meals; it is also packed with numerous health benefits. Another reason why I love this recipe is its versatility. It’s similar to the classic herb oil recipes that many of us know and love, making it a lovely addition to salad dressings, sautés, roasts, or even as a simple dipping oil. Try drizzling it over a fresh avocado toast – trust me, you won’t regret it.

What You’ll Need
- 1 cup of fresh yarrow flowers
- 2 cups of carrier oil (like olive oil or sweet almond oil)
- 1 tablespoon of Vitamin E oil
- 6 clean and dry glass jars with lids
Method
Step One
Begin by making sure that all your equipment and your workspace are clean. Gently wash the fresh yarrow flowers to remove any dirt, making sure to pat them dry.
Step Two
Place the dry yarrow flowers in one of your glass jars, filling it up without compacting the flowers too tightly.
Step Three
Pour the carrier oil over the yarrow flowers in the jar until they are completely covered. Make sure to use enough oil so that the flowers can easily move around in the jar, but are fully submerged.
Step Four
Add a tablespoon of Vitamin E oil to the jar. This will help the oil stay fresh and extend its shelf life.
Step Five
After you’ve added the Vitamin E oil, stir the mixture using a clean spoon to ensure that all the ingredients are well combined.
Step Six
Seal the jar tightly with its lid and place it in a location that gets good indirect sunlight. Make sure to shake the jar once each day for the next two to three weeks.
Step Seven
After two to three weeks, strain the oil through a clean cheesecloth, making sure to squeeze all the oil from the flowers. Discard the used flowers.
Step Eight
Pour the finished yarrow infused oil into your remaining clean, dry jars and seal with a lid. Store in a cool, dark place until use.
