What You’ll Need

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup packed fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
ALLERGENS: Eggs

Method

Step One

First, gather all your ingredients. Make sure you have mayonnaise, fresh basil leaves, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper in the quantities mentioned above.

Step Two

Take a blender or a food processor. Add in the 1/2 cup of packed fresh basil leaves along with 1/2 tablespoon of minced garlic.

Step Three

Now add 1 cup of mayonnaise to the blender. On top of the mayonnaise, drizzle 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. This will help to blend the basil leaves and garlic into the creamy mayonnaise easily.

Step Four

Now add 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper to the ingredients in the blender.

Step Five

Blend all the ingredients together until they become a smooth and creamy aioli. Your Basil Garlic Aioli is now ready to serve.

Note: If you want the aioli to be a bit thinner, add a little more olive oil while blending. Always taste and adjust the seasoning as per your preference.
