What You’ll Need

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 cups peeled and sliced fresh pears
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
ALLERGENS: Gluten (from all-purpose flour and possibly oats), dairy (from unsalted butter), nuts (from walnuts)

Method

Step One

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and 3/4 cup of the granulated sugar.

Step Two
