What You’ll Need

  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups of diced apples
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon (for topping)
ALLERGENS: Milk, Eggs, Wheat

Method

Step One

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius) and grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.

Step Two

In a large bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. This should take about 2-3 minutes.

Step Three

Crack in the eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Next, add in vanilla extract and mix until incorporated.

Step Four

In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon. Stir these dry ingredients together until they are well mixed.

Step Five

Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter and eggs mixture, alternating with milk. Start and end with the flour mixture. Make sure to mix just until combined after each addition. Avoid overmixing.

Step Six

Fold in the diced apples and make sure they’re evenly distributed throughout the batter. Pour this batter into the prepared loaf pan.

Step Seven

In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and ground cinnamon (for topping). Sprinkle this mixture over the top of the batter in the loaf pan.

Step Eight

Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Please be aware that cooking times may vary depending on your oven, so be sure to check the bread regularly.

Step Nine

Allow the bread to cool in the loaf pan for about 10 minutes. Then, remove it from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.

Step Ten

Your Apple Cinnamon Bread is now ready to be enjoyed! Slice it up and serve warm, or let it cool completely for a different, yet equally delicious, taste experience.
