Cinnamon Spiced Coffee

What You’ll Need

  • 6 Cups of Brewed Coffee
  • 1/2 Cup of Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon of Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Cup of Whipped Cream
  • 2 small diced Apples
  • 2 small diced Pears
  • Zest of 1 Orange
  • 1 Vanilla Bean (split and scraped)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Nutmeg

Method

Step One

First, brew the coffee using your preferred method, ensuring to make approximately six cups worth. Set this aside to cool slightly whilst you move onto the next step.

Step Two

In a large saucepan, mix together the sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Place this on a medium heat and stir until they are well combined.

Step Three

Add in the apples, pears, and the zest of one orange to the saucepan. Stir for a few minutes until the fruit begins to soften and release their juicy flavors.

Step Four

Next, slice your vanilla bean down the middle and scrape out the inside. Add both the bean and the inside to the saucepan. Stir well.

Step Five

Now, it’s time to add the coffee. Pour into the saucepan and stir your delicious concoction. Bring this to a low boil and then reduce the heat to simmer. Let this simmer for about 5-10 minutes to allow the flavors to thoroughly mix together.

Step Six

After simmering, strain the coffee mixture into a jug or directly into mugs for serving. The fruit and spices can be discarded, or used as a garnish if desired.

Step Seven
