There’s just something so special about my Cinnamon Spiced Coffee. It’s more than a beverage; it’s an experience. When the warm, comforting aroma of cinnamon fills the house, blending harmoniously with the tactile essence of freshly-ground coffee, you’ll find yourself transported to a cozy, tranquil space that enlivens the senses.

As the lovely scent wafts into every corner of the home, reminding me of those crisp autumn mornings in California’s wine valleys, I can’t help but feel a heartwarming connection to my roots. It embodies the balance between healthy living and indulgent comfort that epitomizes my culinary style.

Cinnamon Spiced Coffee

Balance of Flavors

This isn’t your average cup of joe. The Cinnamon Spiced Coffee taps into a harmonious balance of flavors, much like the gastronomic scene of my sunny hometown. The earthy notes of ground coffee meet the sweet tanginess of fresh fruit, creating a melody of flavor that’s both refreshing and decadent at the same time.

Health-conscious Indulgence

My Cinnamon Spiced Coffee is more than just a delicious treat. It’s a potent combo of antioxidants from the coffee and fiber-rich fruits, coupled with the diabetic-friendly and anti-inflammatory properties of cinnamon. The brown sugar can easily be swapped for a sugar substitute for those watching their sugar intake, and the optional whipped cream topping adds that extra scoop of indulgence for those cheat day mornings.

You might want to pair this with a light avocado toast or prepare a batch for brunch alongside a refreshing orange and avocado salad. It’s a versatile, crowd-pleaser that aligns perfectly with a relaxed weekend gathering or even as a distinctive treat for your holiday guests.

Like the joyful chaos of my kitchen on a Sunday morning with my three adopted angels, my Cinnamon Spiced Coffee recipe is filled with love, comfort and a sense of belonging. Each sip serves as a reminder that even the simplest ingredients, when combined with a touch of creativity and passion, can indeed create a work of art.

Building Memories

It’s not just about the taste though. It’s the memories that are built around it. Lazy weekend brunches, early morning risers before school, family gatherings during the holidays – this simple beverage has been a constant at all these events, creating a rich tapestry of memories that continue to grow.

Every time I brew a pot of this delightful Cinnamon Spiced Coffee, I’m not just making a beverage, I’m invoking a feeling of warmth, family, and connection that I hope to share with everyone who has a taste of this magical concoction.

  • 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon

ALLERGENS:

Method

Step One

Place your coffee, cinnamon and brown sugar into your coffee filter in your coffee maker. Mix them together a bit to make sure they are well combined.

Step Two

Decant your 6 cups of water into the water reservoir of your coffee maker.

Step Three

Turn your coffee maker on and allow it to brew as normal.

Step Four

While your coffee is brewing, prepare the fruit. Slice your oranges, apple and pear into moderately thick slices, discarding any seeds.

Step Five

When your coffee has finished brewing, transfer it to a large pot on the stove. Add your sliced fruit to the pot.

Step Six

Heat the coffee and fruit over a low heat for ten minutes, allowing the fruit to steep in the coffee. This gives the coffee a nice fruity-flavour infuse.

Step Seven

Ladle your cinnamon spiced coffee into mugs, being sure to leave the fruit slices in the pot. Add whipped cream to each mug if desired, and garnish with a cinnamon stick.

Step Eight

Serve hot and enjoy your homemade Cinnamon Spiced Coffee!
