Celebrating Farm to Table Freshness

Choosing fresh ingredients, as I learned early on in my life when working alongside my parents on our family farm, ensures the highest quality and most health-infused results. The Costmary Infused Tea recipe is an ode to foragers and farmers alike. It is a celebration of juxtaposing flavors – the citrusy notes of the lemon and oranges marries perfectly with the mellow sweetness of the honey. This is heightened by the soft berry notes from the strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, while the unique aroma of costmary leaves seals the deal.

Heath Benefits of this Herbal Infusion

The Costmary Infused Tea is not just a feast for the senses. Pack full of antioxidants from the different fruits, it supports the immune system, keeping seasonal ailments at bay. The honey provides natural sweetness that beats processed sugars hands down, while the costmary leaves have a long history of being used for digestion and respiratory problems. Lemon, loaded with vitamin C, enhances the body’s energy production, and strawberries’ anti-inflammatory properties are known to protect against chronic illnesses.

If you’re intrigued by herbal infusions and love the sound of the Costmary Infused Tea, you may also enjoy the rejuvenating flavor of a Chamomile Honey Tea or perhaps a punchy Ginger Turmeric Infusion. This refreshing beverage also complements a hearty breakfast spread or a light afternoon tea cake.

ALLERGENS: Honey

Method

Step One

Fill a large pot with 8 cups of water and bring to a boil.

Step Two

Once the water is boiling, add in the bunch of costmary leaves. Turn off the heat and let the leaves steep for about 10 minutes.

Step Three

After the leaves have steeped, strain out the leaves and pour the tea into a large pitcher.

Step Four

While the tea is still hot, stir in the 6 tablespoons of honey until it is completely dissolved.

Step Five

Next, add in the sliced lemon and oranges, making sure to lightly squeeze them to release their juices before dropping them in.

Step Six

Add in the strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries and gently stir to combine.

Step Seven

Allow the tea mixture to cool to room temperature before moving it to the fridge. Let it chill for at least 2 hours, longer if possible, to allow the flavors to meld together.

When you’re ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled tea over. Enjoy the refreshing and fruity taste of your Costmary Infused Tea!
