What You’ll Need
- 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 3 cloves of elephant garlic, peeled and sliced
- Zest of 1 lemon, optional

Step One
Start by peeling and slicing the 3 cloves of elephant garlic.
Step Two
Place these slices in a saucepan, then pour the 1 cup of extra virgin olive oil over them.
Step Three
Turn your stove to a low heat setting and let this mixture sit until it starts to sizzle. Make sure to not let it boil as it may burn the garlic. This should take around 5-10 minutes.
Step Four
Once the oil has heated and the garlic sizzles, turn the heat off and allow the oil to cool in the saucepan.
Step Five
Once cooled, if desired, add the zest of 1 lemon to the oil and garlic mixture. Stir it well to distribute the lemon zest evenly.
Step Six
Strain this oil into a jar or bottle, leaving out the garlic slices and lemon zest. Your Elephant Garlic infused Olive Oil is now ready for use!
