I have a fondness for bringing together the carefree Californian attitude and time-honored American tastes, and my Gac fruit smoothie is no exception to the rule. This beverage is a splendid representation of my concept of a healthful and satisfying drink.

Gac fruit smoothie

A Taste of Sunshine

My penchant for sunny, wholesome flavors is deeply rooted in my Californian upbringing, and this smoothie is testament to that. If you’ve not yet acquainted yourself with Gac fruit, it’s a superfood fruit native to Southeast Asia, and it’s starting to make waves in the west due to its impressive health properties. It’s a harmonious blend of vibrant, tropical flavors balanced with the more familiar tastes of blueberries and bananas. It truly feels like indulging in a refreshing glass of California sunshine, without any guilt attached!

A Nutritional Powerhouse

The health benefits of this Gac fruit smoothie are sterling, to say the least. Not only is Gac fruit replete with carotenoids and antioxidants, but it’s also packed with lycopene and beta-carotene, elements that are known to be excellent for skin health and eyesight. Combine this with the anthocyanins from blueberries, the potassium from bananas, and the omega-3 fatty acids from chia seeds, and you’ve got a nutrient-dense power drink. Plus, with almond milk and agave syrup, it’s both vegan and sweet without any refined sugar.

As comforting as it is healthy, it’s similar to our well-loved classic fruit smoothies but with an exciting, exotic twist. Like a green smoothie, the refreshing flavors of the Gac fruit smoothie go wonders with a plate of avocado toast for breakfast, or even as a refreshing drink alongside a meal of grilled vegetable skewers, balancing out the smoky, savory flavors beautifully.

Don’t wait anymore to try the recipe for yourself and experience why the Gac fruit smoothie is so close to my heart. Cheers to good health and flavors that delight!

Place the Gac fruit pulp, frozen blueberries, and the frozen banana into a blender.

Step Three

Add to the blender the 3 cups of almond milk, the 2 tablespoons of Agave syrup, the tablespoon of chia seeds, and teaspoon of ground ginger next.
