About Gluten-Free Soft Roll
Welcome to a delicious introduction to the Gluten-Free Soft Roll, the perfect bread solution for those who have decided to eliminate gluten from their diets but still crave the comfort of a soft, delicious roll. Do not compromise with taste anymore! This bread has gained a loyal following in the gluten-free community, not only for its texture but also for the delectable blend of flavors it brings to the table.
A Delicious Break from the Norm
One of the main concerns when it comes to gluten-free bread is taste. Many people assume it will be bland or worse, tasteless. However, our Gluten-Free Soft Roll defies all these assumptions. The addition of brown rice flour, potato, and tapioca starch gives it an earthy, natural taste that pairs well with savory meals. Furthermore, the hint of apple cider vinegar brings an interesting twist, that perfectly balances the sweetness from the white sugar, and the resilient texture provided by the xanthan gum. The use of olive oil not only boosts the flavor profile but also contributes to a moist texture, making this bread soft and satisfying.
Perfect Pairing Possibilities
The diverse flavors of this roll make it a fantastic match to an array of dishes. Try it with a hearty bowl of soup or stew, the bread will gracefully soak up the lingering flavors, enhancing the overall experience. It also serves as the perfect canvas for a meaty, cheese-laden sandwich or an extravagant vegan delight. If you enjoy breakfast with a European touch, pair it with a variety of cheeses, cold cuts, and olives for a leisurely weekend brunch. You can view some exemplary gluten-free dishes here that can perfectly accompany this roll.
Despite being a gluten-free variant, the breadcrumb’s rich essence and soft texture make it reminiscent of traditional white bread (like a baguette) or dinner rolls that are the epitome of comfort food. But unlike its gluten-rich counterparts, our Gluten-Free Soft Roll ensures that you can indulge without any worry.
Embark on your gluten-free journey with confidence and comfort. Enjoy the simple pleasure of biting into a soft, delicious roll that not only meets your dietary needs but also satisfies your cravings. Happy baking!
What You’ll Need
- 1/2 cup of Tapioca Starch
- 1 cup of Brown Rice Flour
- 1/4 cup of Potato Starch
- 1/4 cup of White Sugar
- 2 teaspoon Xanthan Gum
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 cup of Non-fat Dry Milk Powder
- 1 package active dry yeast (or 2 1/4 teaspoons)
- 2 large Eggs
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar
- 3 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 cup of Warm Water (110°F-115°F)
Method
Step One
Preheat your oven to 200°F and then immediately turn it off. This supports the perfect temperature for the dough to rise.
Step Two
In a large bowl, combine the Tapioca Starch, Brown Rice Flour, Potato Starch, White Sugar, Xanthan Gum, Salt, and Non-fat Dry Milk Powder.
Step Three
In a separate smaller bowl, dissolve the active dry yeast in the warm water. Ensure that the water is between 110°F-115°F.
Step Four
To the dry ingredient mixture, add the two large eggs, Apple Cider Vinegar, and Olive Oil. Mix well until combined.
Step Five
Slowly pour the yeast and water mixture into your larger bowl, stirring as you go. Continue stirring until the mixture becomes a soft and sticky dough.
Step Six
Divide the dough into smaller pieces and shape them into rolls. Place each of these onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step Seven
Put the baking sheet into the preheated (and then turned off) oven and leave the dough to rise. This should take approximately 30 minutes.
Step Eight
After the dough has risen, remove from the oven and preheat the oven to 375°F.
Step Nine
Return the rolls to the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, until they are golden brown.
Step Ten
Remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool before serving. Enjoy your Gluten-Free Soft Rolls.
