What You’ll Need

  • 1 pound of pizza dough
  • 1 cup of goat cheese
  • 1 cup of pickled onions
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of cornmeal for dusting
  • 1/2 cup of fresh basil leaves
ALLERGENS: Gluten, Milk

Method

Step One

Preheat your oven to 475 degrees Fahrenheit. If you have a pizza stone, place it on the middle rack of the oven to heat up.

Step Two

On a lightly floured surface, roll out your pizza dough into a round circle. You can make one large pizza or divide the dough into smaller portions to make multiple personal size pizzas.

Step Three

Once your pizza dough is rolled out, brush the surface with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, then evenly sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper.

Step Four

Sprinkle the dough with the shredded mozzarella cheese, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust.

Step Five

Distribute the cup of crumbled goat cheese evenly on top of the mozzarella. Follow this with the cup of pickled onions.

Step Six

Carefully transfer the prepared pizza onto a pizza peel dusted with cornmeal. If you don’t have a pizza peel, a flat baking sheet will work as well. Carefully slide the pizza onto your preheated pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven.

Step Seven

Bake the pizza for about 12 to 15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.

Step Eight

Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Just before serving, sprinkle the fresh basil leaves over the top and drizzle with the remaining tablespoon of olive oil.

Step Nine

Slice the pizza into wedges and serve hot. Enjoy your delicious Goat Cheese and Pickled Onion Pizza!
