There’s something about a good, hearty wrap that settles in the soul just right. One of my favorite, go-to recipes is the Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap. I suppose it could be traced back to my early days, where my Italian grandparents never let a day pass without a vibrant, wholesome meal that brought our family together. So, imagine the comfort of those flavors rolled into a delicious, healthy wrap. Delicious!

Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap

So much more than a wrap

Now, don’t let the simplicity of the Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap fool you! It is packed with the nourishment of lean protein from the chicken breasts, dietary fiber from the romaine lettuce and cucumber, essential fats from the avocados, and a burst of antioxidant-laden freshness from the cherry tomatoes. Plus, the tangy Caesar dressing and grated parmesan lend a distinctive flavor profile that just hits the spot. And did I mention the squeeze of lemon juice? It’s a spritz of refreshing citrus that makes this wrap sing.

You would be surprised at how close this recipe is to the classic Chicken Caesar Salad. It’s essentially a salad in a tortilla wrap, making it a fantastic portable lunch. Perfect for picnic baskets, long hikes, or even a quick lunch when the grandchildren are over.

Community and Cuisine

There is a special kind of joy that comes from sharing good food with good people. Meals have a way of strengthening community bonds, and it’s a significant reason I was drawn to the culinary world. As you indulge in this vegetable-rich Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap, you welcome a fusion of flavor, nourishment, and warmth. It is family tradition packed into a slice of Italian-American roots.

Try pairing it with a light Minestrone soup or a side of Italian Pasta Salad for a comprehensive, fulfilling meal. And if you’d like to make the wrap a part of a well-balanced, nutritious diet, consider adding a refreshing fruit salad to the menu.

So, gather around, wrap in hand, and keep the tradition alive. Buon appetito!

What You’ll Need

  • 6 large flour tortillas
  • 3 chicken breasts, grilled and sliced
  • 1 large head of romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup of cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cucumber, diced
  • 1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup of Caesar dressing
  • 2 avocados, sliced
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
ALLERGENS: Gluten, Chicken, Dairy

Method

Step One

First, preheat your grill on medium-high heat. Once heated, grill your chicken breasts for 6 to 7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. After the chicken is fully cooked, remove it from the grill and let it cool. Once cooled, slice the chicken into thin stripes.

Step Two

While waiting for the chicken to cool, prepare your vegetables. Chop your lettuce, halve your cherry tomatoes, dice the cucumber, and slice your avocados. For the avocados, after slicing, squeeze fresh lemon juice over them to prevent them from browning. Establish a layer of all these ingredients in a large bowl.

Step Three

Add the cooled, sliced chicken pieces to the bowl with the vegetables. Then pour the Caesar dressing over the mixture. Add the freshly grated parmesan cheese on top. Gently toss all the ingredients together until they’re well-combined.

Step Four

Warm your flour tortillas on the grill or in a dry pan for a few seconds on each side. This makes them more pliable.

Step Five

Lay out the warmed tortillas and place a generous amount of the chicken and vegetable mix onto each one. Fold in the sides of the tortilla and then roll it up tightly from the bottom, enclosing all of the ingredients.

Step Six

All that’s left to do is to enjoy your grilled chicken Caesar wraps. Serve them immediately or wrap them in foil and refrigerate for a packed lunch. These wraps are a terrific, healthy meal option that you can carry along with you anywhere.
