- 2 lbs Ground Beef
- 2 cups Basmati Rice
- 1 large Onion, chopped
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 Green Bell Pepper, chopped
- 1 Red Bell Pepper, chopped
- 5 cups Beef Broth
- 2 teaspoons Curry Powder
- 1 teaspoon Ground Turmeric
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon Chili Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cardamom
- 1/2 teaspoon Ground Coriander
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 3 tablespoons Tomato Paste
- 1 cup Frozen Peas
- Salt, to taste
- Ground Black Pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Method
Step One
Start by heating the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and chopped bell peppers. Cook these for approximately 5 minutes until the vegetables are soft and fragrant.
Step Two
Next, push the cooked vegetables to one side of the skillet and add the ground beef. Cook until it is no longer pink, breaking it up into smaller chunks as it cooks. Make sure to stir it in with the vegetables.

After 20 minutes, add your frozen peas to the skillet. Let them cook until they are heated through. This should take about 5 minutes.
