Horse Gram Pancakes

A Morning Delight for my Family

Hailing from the heart of Boston, where pancakes are a staple breakfast item, I found a way to introduce a nutrient-dense ingredient like horse gram and transform it into a delicious morning treat. Trying these pancakes reminds me of the warm, bright mornings I share with Laura and our little bundle of joy. It’s an exciting take on an old favorite that you can share with your loved ones too!

The Healthy Blend in Horse Gram Pancakes

What makes these Horse Gram Pancakes particularly delightful is the inherent health benefit it brings to the breakfast table. With the horse gram base, you get a high protein and fiber boost that’s perfect for starting the day. The inclusion of ripe bananas adds a natural sweetness and offers a good dose of potassium. I love to top these pancakes with an assortment of fresh fruits to invigorate the taste buds and deliver a variety of vitamins and antioxidants. Not to forget, a sweet drizzle of maple syrup, packed with essential minerals and antioxidants.

If you are familiar with Banana Pancakes, this recipe will feel somewhat familiar, yet distinctively different and lighter to the palate. The Horse Gram Pancakes could also pair well with a warm, hearty Irish Stew for a delightful brunch.

Isn’t it wonderful when a recipe can strike this perfect balance between being wholesome, delicious, reminiscent of our roots, and a thread to weave new family traditions? That’s precisely why I hold the Horse Gram Pancakes dear. I invite you to try this recipe and experience the warmth I feel whenever I cook it for my family.
