What You’ll Need

  • 3 bunches of Pak Choy
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 4 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons of fresh ginger, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, mixed with 2 tablespoons of water
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Method

Step One

Wash the Pak Choy thoroughly, trim off the base, and cut them into bite-sized pieces.

Step Two

In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the finely chopped garlic and ginger to the pan and stir-fry them together for a minute until they become aromatic.

Step Three

Add the cut Pak Choy to the pan. Stir-fry it together with the garlic and ginger for 2-3 minutes until it begins to wilt.

Step Four

In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, and 1 cup of water. Stir this mixture well until the honey is completely dissolved.

Step Five

Pour the soy sauce mixture over the Pak Choy in the pan. Allow it to cook, tossing regularly to ensure it’s evenly coated, for about 5 minutes.

Step Six

In a separate bowl, mix the cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water to create a slurry. Add this to the pan and stir well. Cook for another few minutes until the sauce has thickened.

Step Seven

Serve the Pak Choy warm, garnished with sesame seeds.
