Smoked Trout Mousse with Toast

Paired to Perfection

The smoked trout mousse alone would be divine, but when spread on a crisp slice of toast, it becomes downright bewitching. Whether served as a starter or as a charming addition to your brunch table, this mousse is a sure winner. It pairs incredibly well with dishes featuring similar flavor profiles, such as a classic Eggs Benedict or a simple yet classy Caesar Salad. If you want to serve it in true Dutch style, try coupling it with bitterballen or a hearty Erwtensoep, two other classic Dutch dishes that would compliment the dish perfectly.
