  • 1 can (15 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • Grated parmesan cheese for garnish (optional)

Method

Step One

Begin by heating 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large soup pot. While the oil heats, dice 1 medium onion and 2 cloves of garlic.
