What You’ll Need

  • 4 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons genuine vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt

Method

Firstly, take a large bowl, and put 1 cup of your softened unsalted butter in it.

Now, use an electric mixer set to medium speed to beat the butter until it starts to appear creamy.

Once your butter is in a creamy state, start to slowly mix in the 4 cups of confectioners’ sugar. You need to do this at a low speed to ensure the sugar blends well with the creamy butter. Continue this process until it is fully combined and has a smooth texture.

Step Four

The next step is to add your 2 teaspoons of genuine vanilla extract and 1/4 teaspoon of fine sea salt into your butter and sugar mixture. Stir them well to make sure they are equally distributed.

Step Five

After that, gradually pour in the 3 tablespoons of heavy whipping cream while you continue to beat the mixture at a low speed. Once all the ingredients are well combined, increase your speed to high and keep beating for a few more minutes until your frosting appears fluffy and smooth.
