Imagine biting into a Mangosteen Yogurt Popsicle on a hot summer day, its refreshing sweetness melting in your mouth. It’s an irresistible blend of the exotic tanginess of mangosteen juice and the creamy richness of Greek yogurt. As a twist, a hint of lime juice and vanilla extract are added to the mix, creating a perfectly balanced flavor profile. Honey gives these popsicles their well-rounded sweetness while providing a wealth of health benefits. They’re a distinct departure from my signature dishes – the bison burgers, venison steaks, and huckleberry pies – but variety and excitement are what cooking represents to me.

Mangosteen: The Queen of Fruits

Mangosteen, often referred to as the queen of fruits, is a tropical delight that is not only delicious but also packed with an array of health benefits. In traditional medicine, it is used to combat inflammation and boost the immune system. Its ability to provide energy, combined with its low caloric count make it appealing to health enthusiasts. A Healthy Twist to your Favorite Ice Cream

These popsicles are reminiscent of your favorite childhood ice creams, but with a healthier twist. The Greek yogurt serves as a great source of protein and probiotics, which aid in digestion. The honey is not just a natural sweetener, but enhances the body’s ability to absorb calcium needed for strong teeth and bones.

And if you’re a fan of a good old root beer float or yogurt-based smoothie, you might find these popsicles fabulously comforting yet new. They can be a delicious dessert to follow a hearty barbecue meal or a refreshing afternoon snack on its own. You can find more recipes similar to this at (Bon Appétit).

Every lick, every bite of these Mangosteen Yogurt Popsicles embodies the very essence that I value as a food enthusiast: a wonderful fusion of familiar and novel flavors exploding in your mouth.

What You’ll Need

  • 1 cup of Mangosteen juice
  • 2 cups of plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 6 popsicle sticks
ALLERGENS: Milk

Method

Step One

Firstly, in a large bowl, combine together the 1 cup of Mangosteen juice, 2 cups of plain Greek yogurt, 1/2 cup of honey, 1 tablespoon of lime juice, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Stir everything together until it is well combined.

Step Two

Once that’s done, pour this mixture evenly into the popsicle moulds. Do not completely fill the moulds as they will expand when frozen.

Step Three

Place the moulds in the freezer and allow them to chill for about an hour. After that, remove from the freezer and insert the popsicle sticks into the centre of each mould. Return these back to the freezer.

Step Four

Let them freeze for about 4-5 hours, or until they harden completely.

Step Five

When you are ready to eat the popsicles, warm the moulds slightly by holding them in your hands or running them under warm water briefly. This will make the popsicles release easily from the moulds. Enjoy your homemade Mangosteen Yogurt Popsicles!
