What You’ll Need
- 1 lb flat rice noodles
- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Method
Step One
Begin by preparing your rice noodles according to the package’s instructions, then set them aside. Meanwhile, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, and cornstarch in a bowl to create your sauce.
Step Two
Heat half of the vegetable oil in a large wok or frying pan over high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the thinly sliced beef sirloin. Stir-fry the beef until it is completely cooked through, which should take about 2-3 minutes. Once the beef is cooked, remove it from the pan and set it aside.
Step Three
In the same wok or frying pan, add the remaining vegetable oil. Then add in the bell pepper, onion, and minced garlic. Stir-fry these ingredients until they are tender, approximately 2 minutes.
Step Four
Now, push all the stir-fried vegetables to one side of the pan and crack your eggs into the other side. Scramble the eggs, and once they’re fully cooked, you can mix them back in with the vegetables.
Step Five
After the eggs are cooked, reintroduce the cooked beef to the pan along with the prepared rice noodles, chopped green onions, bean sprouts, and your previously prepared sauce. Toss everything together and allow the dish to cook for another 2 minutes, or until everything is heated through.
Step Six
Finally, it’s time to season your Beef Rice Noodle Stir-Fry. Add in the black pepper and, if you prefer a bit of heat, some crushed red pepper flakes. Toss everything together one last time to ensure the seasonings are evenly distributed, and then serve. Enjoy!
