What You’ll Need

  • 1 large ripe cantaloupe (about 4 pounds)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 cup water
  • Mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Method

Step One

Start by cutting your ripe cantaloupe into two halves. Remove the seeds and scoop out the fruit into a bowl.

Step Two

Take a blender, add the cantaloupe pieces and blend it until a smooth puree is obtained. Keep it aside.

Step Three

Now, take a saucepan and add a cup of water and a cup of granulated sugar. Cook it over medium heat until the sugar is completely dissolved.

Step Four

Once done, remove the saucepan from the heat and let the syrup cool.

Step Five

Next, add the cooled sugar syrup, honey, and fresh lime juice to the cantaloupe puree. Mix it well until everything is combined.

Step Six

Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze it according to the manufacturer’s instructions till it reaches a sorbet consistency.
