Chicken Kebab

What You’ll Need

  • 3 lbs chicken breasts
  • 2 large onions, finely chopped
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon saffron, dissolved in hot water
  • Salt to taste
  • 6 skewers
ALLERGENS: chicken, yogurt

Method

Step One

First, cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and set them aside.

Step Two

Next, in a large bowl, combine the finely chopped onions, minced garlic, plain yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric, ground black pepper, dissolved saffron, and salt to taste.

Step Three

Add the cut chicken into the mixture. Make sure all pieces are coated in the marinade. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to penetrate the chicken.
