What You’ll Need
- 6 cups fresh kale
- 3 cups freshly pureed apple juice
- 1 1/2 cups frozen banana slices
- 3/4 cup goji berries
- 1 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
- 6 tablespoons honey
- 1 1/2 cups ice cubes
Method
Step One
Prepare the ingredients. Wash and drain the kale, mint leaves and goji berries thoroughly. Pour the goji berries into a bowl of water and leave them to soak. Peel and slice your bananas then freeze them.
Step Two
In a blender, combine 6 cups of fresh kale and 3 cups of freshly pureed apple juice. Blend the ingredients until they have a smooth texture.
Step Three
Add 1 1/2 cups of frozen banana slices to the kale and apple juice mixture in the blender. Blend until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
Step Four
Drain the goji berries and add them to the mixture in the blender, along with 1 1/4 cup of mint leaves. Continue to blend until all the ingredients are well combined.
Step Five
Add 6 tablespoons of honey into the blender. At this point, you can taste the smoothie and adjust the sweetness accordingly. If you prefer a sweeter smoothie, feel free to add more honey. Blend the smoothie for a few more seconds to mix in the honey.
Step Six
