What You’ll Need

  • 2 cups of diced Mouse Melons
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1 diced jalapeño
  • 1 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 diced ripe avocado
  • 2 diced Roma tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
ALLERGENS: Avocado

Method

Step One

Start by preparing all your ingredients. Wash 2 cups of Mouse Melons and dice them. Also dice half a cup of a red onion, a jalapeño, a ripe avocado and 2 Roma tomatoes.

Step Two

Place all the diced ingredients in a large bowl. Then, finely chop 1 cup of fresh cilantro and add it to the bowl.

Step Three

Next, squeeze out 1/4 cup of fresh lime juice. Add this to the bowl as well.

Step Four

Season your salsa with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper. Carefully mix all the ingredients together. Taste the salsa, and add more salt and pepper if required.

Step Five

Once you are happy with the taste of your salsa, let it sit for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. Your Mouse Melon Salsa is now ready to serve. Enjoy it with tortilla chips or as a topping on grilled chicken or fish.
