What You’ll Need

  • 2 Hala Fruits, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup of Pineapple chunks
  • 2 Mangoes, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup of Strawberries, sliced
  • 2 Bananas, sliced
  • 1/2 cup of Orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons of Honey
  • 1/2 cup of Shredded Coconut
  • 1 tablespoon of Fresh Mint, finely chopped
  • 1 Lemon, juiced
ALLERGENS: Pineapple, Mangoes, Strawberries, Bananas, Orange juice, Honey, Coconut, Lemon

Method

Step One

Start by preparing all the fruits. For the Hala fruits, peel the outer layer and chop the fruit into bite-sized pieces. Do the same for the mangoes. Slice the strawberries and bananas. Also, if your pineapple isn’t already in chunks, chop it up as well.

Step Two

Combine all the fruits in a large bowl. This includes the hala fruits, pineapple chunks, chopped mangoes, sliced strawberries, and sliced bananas.

Step Three

In a separate bowl, mix together the orange juice and honey. Stir until the honey is fully dissolved.

Step Four

Pour the orange juice and honey mixture over the fruit in the large bowl. Toss the fruit so it’s all coated with the mixture. This will not only add flavor to the fruit, but also prevent any browning.

Step Five

Sprinkle the shredded coconut over the top of the fruit salad. Stir gently to distribute the coconut throughout the salad.

Step Six

Finely chop fresh mint and sprinkle it over the fruit salad. Similarly, juice the lemon and drizzle it over the salad. Then, gently mix the salad one more time to blend these flavors.

Step Seven

Chill in the refrigerator for a couple of hours before serving, which allows the flavors to meld together nicely.
